Hello world!
The wife and I had a chance to go camping last week, so we jumped at the chance and travelled to Tawas Point SP, along Lake Huron. We had a wonderful time, albeit shorter than we'd like.
While walking along the beach one late afternoon we noticed that the lake level had certainly risen from the previous years, but hadn't returned to the levels that we had witnessed when we first started camping there years ago. We also saw baby seagulls. I had never seen these tiny miniature imitations along the beach before. It's a lot like baby squirrels, you know they must exist but you never see them. The parents, proud I'm sure, were watching from a safe distance and kept the flock of 12 or so babies nearby. The babies didn't seem to mind us as much as the parents did, as they were busy foraging for stuff, like a normal sized gull would do. The nice thing is that the babies didn't seem to make that annoying racket that the adults do.
Of course I didn't have my camera with me, so just imagine for a moment a dozen seagulls, but pint-sized ones, running along the beach.
Welcome
If you've stumbled onto this page, well just enjoy the ramblings of a middle-aged guy who needs to get off his assets more often. But for the time I'm here I might as well produce something for the internet (I really believe this whole internet thing will take off and be useful!)
Feel free to make comments, but be nice!
